Located on the shores of Richard B. Russell Lake on the Savannah River near Calhoun Falls of South Carolina, the Limnological Studies Team of WES Environmental Laboratory maintains an extensive field and laboratory capability to investigate reservoir, riverine, and wetland ecosystem processes. State-of-the-art equipment and procedures are routinely used in the field at experiment sites to collect water, biological, and sediment samples while new methods are being developed to integrate water control and quality data; and to support project personnel in meeting multiple project objectives. The expertise and field capabilities gained can be applied at other projects to assist sponsors in successfully addressing environmental concerns or operational questions
