Welcome to the Interior Least Tern Count Data Management System (DMS). This system was designed to archive range-wide annual Interior Least Tern (ILT) count data for the purpose of documenting long-term population trends. Formerly, no central repository existed for survey data. This DMS fulfills that need and will lead to more regular summaries and analyses of ILT count data than occurred in the past.

The DMS was designed by American Bird Conservancy (ABC) and the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Environmental Lab, with assistance from the U.S. Army Engineer District, Omaha. It is maintained by Casey Lott of ABC who acts as the ILT range-wide monitoring program coordinator.

The DMS became operational in May of 2006. Currently, data from 2006 surveys are being entered and quality controlled. The report for 2006 surveys should be available in by February of 2007. Currently, access to the DMS requires a password, which has been provided to all survey crews collecting data in 2006. If you would like to enter survey data, please log in for more options.
