The WRTC coordinates and conducts training courses associated with the Proponent-Sponsored Engineer Corps Training (PROSPECT) Program, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Professional Development Support Center in Huntsville, AL. The training courses address wetland functions and values, identification and delineation, fundamentals of wetland ecology, evaluation procedures and mitigation principals.
Basic Hydric Soils Training, August 14-16, 2007
This is an intensive field-based training session for field-oriented individuals that are directly involved with wetland identification and delineation, but do not have a strong background in soils or want a review of hydric soils. Topics include hydric soil overview and history, soil-landscape-hydrology relationships, soil profile descriptions, and redoximorphic features.
