Antidote Information

The following antidotes are from Materials Safety and Data Sheet for 5 percent sodium hypochlorite (ACROS Organics 1996):

1. Eyes. Flush eyes thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical aid immediately.

2. Skin. Flush with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid immediately.

3. Ingestion. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical aid immediately. Wash mouth out with water.

4. Inhalation. Get medical aid immediately. Remove the victim from exposure to fresh air immediately. If the victim is not breathing, give artificial respiration. If the victim’s breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
